2009: Averaged 36.3 yards per punt as the primary Demon punter... had a best game average of 39.3 yards on three kicks with one inside the 20 yard line and one fair catch against North Dakota... had 11 punts downed inside the 20.. longest punt was a career-long of 64 yards booted against Stephen F. Austin in the season finale.
2008: Team punter averaging 37.1 yards per punt on 62 kicks... boomed his long of 56 yards... had 17 punts downed inside the 20 yard line, four kicks of 50 or more yards, 11 fair catches and three touchbacks... totaled 2,303 punting yards... had three games where he averaged over 40 yards per punt... high game was a 42.8 average on six kicks against Nicholls State.
2007: Appeared in six games, making two special team tackles.
Russo in High School: Academic all-state... first-team all-district and all-region honors as a senior defensive back where he picked off five passes, forced three fumbles, and collected 81 tackles... also played soccer where he earned all-district honorable mention honors as a freshman and sophomore... lettered in baseball and tennis as well... a member of the National Honor Society and graduated 21st in his class with a 3.7 grade point average.
Russo's Personal: Born Mar. 17, 1989... son of Randy Russo and Angie Foret... one sister, Randilyn Marie ... his uncle, Jody Blanchard, played football at Nicholls State and is currently a top ranking official for the Louisiana State Police... cousins Beau and Sean Denson are members of the United States Military... majoring in health and human performance... member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity... full name is Bradley John Russo.
