High School: Lettered three seasons for coach Jay Watson’s Tigers ... missed his senior season because of injury after earning preseason All-Louisiana honors ... second-team all-district selection as a junior, helping Winnfield go 9-3 and reach the second round of the playoffs ... named the team’s most improved player as a sophomore as Winnfield reached the second round of the playoffs ... two-year member of the football leaders council ... four-year baseball letterman was a first-team all-district pick as a senior and second-team as a sophomore ... valedictorian of his class with a 4.0 GPA was named Mr. Winnfield Senior High and was an Academic All-State pick in both football and baseball ... was a member of the Beta Club, FBLA, 4-H, FCA, National Honor Society, Tiger Mentors and the yearbook staff.
