Biography

From the 1998 Post Season Guide:
Mia's performance was hindered last season due to a back injury which plagued her most of 1997. She returned healthy this season and was a solid backup to fellow senior Amanda Cooper until Cooper went down with an injury late in the year. Cook responded well to being thrust into the spotlight averaging over 15 points in her three starts after Cooper's injury. She scored a career high 26 points in the Lady Demons' win oer Southwest Texas laeading Northwestern's SLC tournament clinching win. Her performance earned her Southland Player of the Week honors. She was fifth on the team in scoring with a 6.3 per game average. Started six of 26 games.
