High School: An extraordinary athlete, Converse won a plethora of honors during her high school career ... excelled in volleyball and track as well as in basketball ... was a first team all-state basketball selection as a junior and senior .. a first team all-district selection as a sophomore through senior, Converse was also first team all-region and honorable mention all-state as a sophomore .. she earned District Most Valuable Player honors as a junior and senior ... an outstanding track and volleyball player as well, was named the State Most Valuable Player and the Louisiana Player of the Year in volleyball as a senior ... was the LVCA Player of the Year and a member of the prestigious Gatorade Volleyball Circle of Champions team as a senior ... volleyball first team all-district and all-state in her sophomore through junior seasons ... earned honors too numerous to list as a track athlete ...highlights include district championship in the javelin, hurdles and discus as a senior ... was a state finalist in the javelin as well as a district runner-up in the triple jump in her senior season ... as a junior was state runner up in the triple jump as well as the javelin.

Personal: Converse is currently pursuing her master's degree in sports administration at Northwestern after graduating with her bachelor's degree in May 2000 ... daughter of Clementine Converse .. had four siblings, Terrie, Rhonda, Alverez and Kamela.
