2019 Season (Junior): Hawthorne finished season strong, batting .370 in her last 18 games to raise her season batting average to .267 … her 12-game hitting streak from April 14-May 5 is tied for the seventh-longest in NSU history ... had nine of her 16 RBIs, both home runs and six of her seven doubles in that 18-game stretch … started the season as the starting catcher/DH, resurfaced as the starting third baseman in the last third of the season … appeared in 48 games with 39 starts … tied career-high three hits and set a career-best two doubles against TAMU-CC … also had three hits vs. UCA … pair of RBIs against Prairie View A&M and SFA, the latter being a two-run home run … also homered against UCA, the go-ahead run in a 1-run win … RBI-single at McNeese sent game into extras in eventual NSU win.
2018 Season (Sophomore): Started 51 games at catcher … third on team with 33 RBIs and third among Southland catchers … hit five home runs, all in SLC play … included two grand slams, one at UCA and another against Lamar … career high six RBIs at UCA on a 3-for-4 day, tying career high in hits … grand slam erased a two-run UCA lead … had four RBIs each against Lamar and A&M-Corpus Christi as part of nine multi-RBI games … added three RBIs against Louisiana Tech … grand slam against Lamar stretched a one-run lead … homered against UCA, Southeastern, Lamar, UIW and TAMUCC … batted .237 with 14 runs scored and 12 walks … batted most often in the No. 6 and 7 spots … her eight doubles tied a team-high … threw out 14 runners on the base paths
