High School: Three-year starter for coach Mark Humble’s Knights ... two-time first-team all-district selection was part of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s Whataburger Super Team as a senior ... honroable mention all-state selection by the Texas Sports Writers Association ... earned District 12-6A Defensive Player of the Year honors after making 78 tackles (12 for loss), eight sacks, six pass breakups, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in eight games ... helped the Knights earn a share of the district title ... named district Newcomer of the Year as a junior.
