Forecast changes Saturday's Northwestern State athletic schedule

10/24/2025 11:37:00 AM

NATCHITOCHES – The expectation of inclement weather Saturday has altered Northwestern State's athletic schedule.

Saturday's volleyball and football games have been moved up to earlier in the day because of a forecast that includes the possibility of lightning-filled storms.

The home doubleheader now will begin with volleyball taking on Stephen F. Austin at 11 a.m. with the Lamar-Northwestern football game beginning inside Turpin Stadium at 2 p.m. The football game still will air on ESPN+ and on the Demon Sports Network, flagshipped by 100.7 FM KZBL in Natchitoches.

Because of the expected inclement weather, the Demon Walk has been canceled for Saturday.

Admission for the volleyball match is free while all tickets originally sold for the football game will be honored as such.

Parking for the football game will open at 10:30 a.m. With the adjusted start times, the Alumni Tailgate at the Collins Family Pavilion will begin at 12:30 p.m.
