NATCHITOCHES – A national television audience will have an opportunity to see the Northwestern State men's basketball team in the 2025-26 season.
The Southland Conference and CBS Sports Network announced Tuesday the Demons' Jan. 26 matchup at Stephen F. Austin will air on CBS Sports Network. Tipoff for the game in Nacogdoches, Texas, will be at 8 p.m.
Northwestern's trip to SFA will be the Demons' first game on a linear cable network since the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament semifinal matchup against McNeese that aired on ESPNU.
The game will be one of five Southland games that will air on CBS Sports Network during the 2025-26 season. In addition to the Demons' rivalry matchup with the Lumberjacks, CBS Sports Network will televise matchups between Lamar and McNeese (Jan. 2), UIW and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 2), Nicholls and Lamar (Feb. 23), and McNeese and Nicholls (March 2) during conference play.
CBS Sports Network is available through cable providers across the country.
Additional linear selections involving Southland teams will be announced later this week.
