NATCHITOCHES – Thursday's non-conference baseball series opener between Stephen F. Austin and Northwestern State has been canceled.
 
The teams will play the remaining two games in the series as scheduled, starting with a 6:30 p.m. single game Friday.
 
The series will conclude with a 2 p.m. Saturday series finale, capping the regular season.
 
Northwestern State already has clinched a spot in next week's Southland Conference Tournament in Hammond.
