LAFAYETTE-Due to weather, the Northwestern State track and field teams' track meet has to wait a day.

The Louisiana Classics has been moved to a one-day event, just taking place Saturday on the campus of UL Lafayette.

The meet begins at 8 a.m. with the and women's 5K. The first field events begin at 8:30 a.m. with the javelin and discus, which are the events previously scheduled for Friday.

Following the trip to Lafayette, the track teams head to Baton Rouge for the Lurline Stuppeck Invitational on March 23.
