NATCHITOCHES—As good as the Northwestern State soccer team was on the field, it just as good off it.

Five members of the team earned Southland Conference All-Academic First Team for the second consecutive season, led by SLC Forward of the Year Olivia Draguicevich.

She is joined on the first team by defenders Natalee Henry, Nicole Henry and Hallie Field and midfielder Delaney Wells.

NSU's five members on the teams are the second-most of any school, only trailing the six for Houston Christian.

All five members made the first team, as NSU had the most first team selections of any school, as no other program had more than two chosen to the first team.

Draguicevich, who earned a First Team All-SLC nod in addition to being named Forward of the Year, is the all-time leader in goals scored in school history with 37, scoring a hat trick on Senior Day against Southeastern Louisiana to break the record. Her 81 career points are tied for second in school history.

It is her third time earning a spot on the SLC All-Academic teams.

Along with her decorated on the field performance, the senior also excelled in the classroom, posting a 3.496 GPA, majoring in communications, helping earn NSU a 12-4-3 record and a No. 2 seed in the SLC Tournament and trip to the semifinals in the tournament.

Her 13 goals this season are 15th in the country and her 28 points are tied for 29th, while her career goal total ranks in the top 10 in SLC history. Throughout her illustrious NSU career, she set or tied 12 different school records.

For the fourth consecutive season, Nicole Henry earns her way onto the All-Academic team. She once again earned a First Team All-Conference nod. The graduate student accumulated a 3.355 GPA as an industrial engineering technology major.

The other half of the Henry twins, Natalee Henry, also made the All-Academic team. The First Team All-Conference pick was third on NSU with 12 total points, recording three goals and six assists, the latter of which was second on the squad.

Hallee Field, a senior from Frisco, earns her way onto the All-Academic team for a third time in her career. Field carries a perfect 4.0 GPA as an accounting major. On the field, she was third on the Lady Demons with five goals. Three of the tallies came in three straight games, which helped earn her SLC Offensive Player of the Week.

The trio of defenders helped lead a back line that held opponents to five or fewer shots in 13 of the 19 games, including 11 of the 12 games in league play and eight shutouts.

Rounding out the five is midfielder Delaney Wells. The junior earned a spot on the All-Academic team for the first time after earning a First Team All-Conference spot, as well as posting a 3.329 GPA, majoring in elementary education.

The native of Flower Mound, Texas, started all 19 games, scoring a pair of goals, including one in the road victory over Texas A&M-Commerce. She was also a big reason why the NSU defense surrendered so few shot attempts.
