NATCHITOCHES – Two new faces highlight the Week 10 Demon Brothers Booster Club Players of the Week presented by Allegiance HealthCare.

Running back Scooter Adams and linebacker Desmon Williams picked up their first team-wide honors of the season while safety Jacob Washington notched his second.

Adams earned Offensive Player of the Week acclaim after rushing for a season-best 43 yards and adding an 8-yard grab in a 23-7 loss to then-No. 25 Southeastern in Hammond this past Saturday. Adams, a redshirt junior, is the Demons' third-leading rusher on the season with 166 yards.

Washington, a junior from Port Arthur, Texas, picked up his second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season after recording a career-high 12 tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, against the Lions. Washington added a pass breakup and recovered his first fumble of the season at SLU.

Williams earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors after making one of his three tackles in the game as part of the Demon kick coverage unit.

Northwestern State returns to action Saturday when it hosts No. 5/7 UIW in the regular-season finale. A win will give NSU at least a share of the Southland Conference title. Should Nicholls defeat Southeastern on Thursday night, Saturday's game will be for the outright SLC title and automatic FCS Playoffs berth.
