NATCHITOCHES -- On the heels of its opening weekend, Northwestern State's tennis team announced two new additions set to join the squad this fall. Rozalie Dohnalova and Tjasa Klevisar have both signed their National Letters of Intent and will arrive in Natchitoches ahead of the 2021 fall season.

Rozalie Dohnalova – from Prostejov in the eastern reaches of the Czech Republic – comes to NSU having finished in the top ten in her age group in her home country. Dohnalova currently has a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 9.61 and finished ranked 65th overall in the Women's Open rankings.

Tjasa Klevisar, hailing from Kranj – a town comparable in size to Natchitoches and in northern Slovenia near Austria's southern border – brings to the table an equally impressive resume. Klevisar, having finished in the top three of her age group, was named Slovenian national champion in both doubles and singles and brings with her a UTR of 9.53.

First-year head coach Jonas Brobeck said he sees potential in his new signees, pointing to their past successes that mirror the championship-level program Northwestern State has built.

"We are extremely happy with the addition of Rozalie and Tjasa to the Lady Demon family," first-year head coach Jonas Brobeck said. "They are both great tennis players, but more importantly they are the type of teammates that will help those around them grow. They embody all the values we have here at NSU, and we can't wait for them to join us in August."
