TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Northwestern State's doubles pair of Rozalie Dohnalova and Viktorie Wojcikova pushed their way to the round of 16 with a win Saturday morning, but the Lady Demon pair couldn't advance further at the ITA Southern Regionals.

Dohnalova/Wojcikova knocked off No. 10 seed Hernandez/Garbino of ULM by a score of 8-3.

But the NSU couple couldn't recreate that magic against No. 8 seed Cubitt/Carrington of LSU, falling 8-2.

Dohnalova also carried the NSU singles banner into the main draw round of 32, but Dohnalova didn't complete her comeback against No. 8 seed Ariana Arseneault of Auburn.

After dropping the first set 7-5, Dohnalova rebounded with a 6-3 win before Arseneault eliminated her with a 6-0 victory in the third set.

On Friday, all three NSU doubles tandems won their opening round matches, but the other two pairings fell Saturday in the round of 32.

Tjasa Klevisar/Mariella Minetti dropped 8-5 to No. 1 seed Flach/Axon of Auburn.

Ayu Ishibashi/Dorota Szczygielska lost 8-4 to No. 9 seed Borland/Lavery of Tulane.

NSU finishes its fall season at Sam Houston on Oct. 30.
