NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State forward Chudier Bile continued to pile up postseason honors as voters for the Louisiana Sports Writer's Association selected the junior for the All-Louisiana Third Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Bile is considered one of the top 15 players in the state as each team consisted of five players from the state's Division I, Division III, NAIA and junior college ranks.

The redshirt junior has spearheaded the newcomer wave at NSU, leading the team with 14 points, nearly eight rebounds per game and blocked 40 shots.

The teams were selected by Louisiana's sports information directors and media members.

"He's one of the toughest matchups in the Southland Conference because he can make shots on the interior and from long range, and he can be remarkable on the boards," said NSU coach Mike McConathy.

The Demons (15-15, 11-9 SLC) surged in the final week, winning their last two games to tie for fourth in the SLC standings.

Bile, who is an All-Southland Conference Second Teamer, tied a team-high 17 points as No. 5 seed NSU rolled No. 8 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 79-62, in the first round of the SLC Tournament before the event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sudan native had six 20-point games, including at LSU, which featured Player of the Year Skylar Mays, Freshman of the Year Trendon Watford and fellow Third Teamer Javonte Smart.

Bile elevated his game once league play started, averaging more than 15 points. But his efficiency from the field increased significantly.

The Denver native made 47 percent from the field and 40 percent from distance in SLC games, adding an extra six percent to his free-throw shooting as well.

Bile's 1.48 blocks per game ranked fourth in the league and 92nd nationally.

Bile compiled seven double-doubles, including five against SLC opponents.

He produced one of the top moments of NSU's season when he drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer to upset Nicholls on the road on Jan. 15 in a 73-72 win.

Bile's inclusion on the All-Louisiana team extends NSU's streak of placing a member among the state's best to 11 straight seasons, dating to 2010.
