DENTON, Texas—A flurry of second half goals by North Texas was too much to overcome, as the Northwestern State soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Mean Green Thursday night.

Three goals in the span of two minutes put the game away for the Mean Green. First, it was Logan Bruffett, who scored in the right side of the box after a nice pass from Michelle Gonzalez from the top of the box.
That was followed 39 seconds later by Peters' second goal of the night, who received a pass from Buffett in the box and she turned around and caught Aydogmus flat-footed, and Peters shot it past Aydogmus.
Two minutes later, Elle Marie DeFrain scored following a throw-in to make it 5-0.
Allie Byrd and Olivia Klein scored late to make the final 7-0 against Kayla Bomben.
North Texas outshot Northwestern State 25-0 and 15-0 in shots on goal.
NSU is back in action on Sunday as the Lady Demons travel to Waco to take on the No. 14 Baylor Bears. Their first home contest is next Sunday against Louisiana Tech.
