Distance coach Chris Sauer's comments:
"On the track and cross country side, he is one of the more talented guys that has come through here. It's always nice on a recruiting standpoint to point to someone and say, 'look at how good he has done pretty much every season he has been with me. Since working with me, he has PRed and scored more points in the conference meets. It's nice to being able to have someone who has really made an impact on the distance program by contributing points to NSU at conference. His first couple of years when he was with his previous coach, he scored one point through conference meets. In the past two years, he has made a lot bigger impact by placing higher in cross country. He was the highest-placed finisher for NSU in cross country in the past 13 or so years. On the track, I was hoping for a high finish indoors. Him placing third in the mile was a big deal, because it kind of showed that NSU was there to play a little bit more and that we can develop some more people."Â
