NATCHITOCHES -- Northwestern State athletics welcomes new corporate partner LUX Clothing & Accessories on Wednesday, announced associate athletics director for external relations Haley Taitano.
 
LUX has supported NSU in the past by stocking clothing in NSU colors, donating items for auctions and sponsoring a team in NSU volleyball's Demon Digfest.
 
Fans can look forward to different LUX-sponsored promotions like a fashion show at halftime of a basketball game.
 
"For me it was a no-brainer," Taitano said about strengthening the relationship with LUX. "Owner (Tammy Metoyer) jumped right on board.
 
"We're actually planning on doing some LUX giveaways in coordination with the fashion shows."
 
Metoyer said she views NSU more like a family than just a partnership with sons Ryan and Xavier being Demon alum and son Trevor scheduled to graduate this December.
 
"LUX partnering with NSU is much more than a business venture, it's like a family coming together to create some new fun," Metoyer said. "I'm so excited about the fashion shows and look forward to a fabulous year with our Demon family.
 
"I've met so many wonderful ladies and guys -- who shop for their girlfriends/wives -- that work at or attend NSU."
