NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State's biennial scholarship auction presented by BOM Bank returns this year, taking place Aug. 23 at the Natchitoches Events Center.
 
Tickets for the event will be available at www.NSUDemons.com/auction2025.
 
The schedule for the event begins at 5 p.m. and includes a social hour, dinner, live and silent auctions as well as the "Final Five Drawing." Proceeds from the event go toward scholarships for more than 350 Northwestern State student-athletes, many of whom will be in attendance to mix and mingle with supporters.
 
"This is one of our signature events within the athletic department, which also serves as a way for our student-athletes to interact with our fan base and show their gratitude in a relaxed setting," Director of Athletics Kevin Bostian said. "The scholarship auction remains a vital part of our success as a department both in and out of the competitive arena. It is a staple of our athletic calendar and continues to generate a tremendous amount of money for our scholarship fund. This will be my second scholarship auction, and I look forward to enjoying this one even more than the first."
 
The social hour runs from 5-6 p.m. ahead of dinner. The program, which includes discussions of Northwestern athletics, and live auction begins at 6:45 p.m. ahead of the "Final Five" drawing at 7:45.
 
Tickets for the "Final Five" can be purchased online, and those who do so do not need to be present to win. The winners of the "Final Five" will gather on stage and decide whether to split the pot or to battle through a drawdown until a winner is determined.
 
Separate raffle tickets for other prizes will be on sale for $10 each or five for $25. NSU student-athletes will be working through the room, selling tickets for the raffles. Additionally, balloons filled with gifts are available for either $25 or $50.
 
The silent auction ends at 8 p.m. with winners announced before the closing of the event. Silent auction items will be made available for bid on www.NSUDemons.com in August.
 
Tickets are available for $75 per person or $125 per couple. Reserved tables for eight are available for $500 while $1,000 VIP sponsorships are open as well. VIP sponsors receive premium seating for eight, recognition on www.NSUDemons.com and on various NSU Athletics social media platforms and eight endless margarita cups.
