NATCHITOCHES -- Cane River-goers and Sibley Lake enthusiasts should "Watch Out 4 White Out" during the July 4 weekend and can win great NSU prizes by simply snapping photos of NSU football yard signs and posting them to social media.
 
The "White Out" signs promoting NSU's 2015 football season opener against Southeastern Louisiana in Turpin Stadium on Thursday, September 3 will be scattered on the banks of the two bodies of water. NSU tailback and Natchitoches native De'Mard Llorens is featured in the sign's graphic.
 
All boaters who snap a picture of any sign on the banks of the water and then upload it to Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #WhiteOut will receive an limited edition "White Out" promotional poster signed by Head Coach Jay Thomas and will be entered into drawings for an array of NSU prizes, including official team apparel and two sideline passes for the Sept. 3 home opener.
 
"We decided to have some fun with a new way of spreading the word about this year's 'White Out' football game," said Adam Jonson, NSU's associate director of athletics. "With countless boats on the water, a great opportunity exists."
 
On Thursday and Friday, members of NSU Athletics' external staff will navigate the waters and boat docks to knock on doors and place signs in yards and on docks. All those whose yard or dock is selected will also be placed in the drawing for prizes and will receive the exclusive "White Out" print.
