NATCHITOCHES – Top contributors to Northwestern State Athletics' Demons Unlimited Foundation will receive invitations to the inaugural President's Menu fundraiser Feb. 21 in Bon Ami at The Landing Restaurant in downtown Natchitoches, featuring new NSU president Dr. Jim Henderson.
Members of the DUF Select 100, donors of at least $1,000 annually, along with NSU Athletics sponsors, will receive the initial group of invitations for the event, which can accommodate about 100 guests. Tickets are $100 per person with a limit of two tickets per invitation. RSVPs to assistant athletic director
Haley Blount will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through Feb. 6.
The evening includes a five-course meal with wine and beer pairings, a silent auction, a commemorative gift for each guest and the exclusive opportunity to visit with Dr. Henderson and NSU's First Lady, his wife, Tonia. They are both alumni of Northwestern State.
Those who are not in the Select 100 or sponsors of NSU Athletics, but are in lower levels of the DUF, are welcome to register for a waiting list for the event, said Blount. If the President's Menu event is not sold out Feb. 6, the waiting list will come into play on a first-come, first-served basis.
The DUF provides vital support for NSU Athletics and the nearly 400 student-athletes who compete for Northwestern State, including funding scholarships and other essential expenses, said Kenny Knotts, the president of the DUF board of directors and a former baseball student-athlete for the Demons.
"The Demons Unlimited Foundation is pleased to host this event to welcome our new president. While serving as a DUF fundraiser, the event will also allow for a night of personal interaction with Dr. Henderson," said Knotts, a Shreveport businessman and Haynesville native.
