NATCHITOCHES – After being away from home for two games, the Northwestern State soccer team returns to the soccer complex on Friday when the Lady Demons host Arkansas-Little Rock at 7 o'clock.

Entry is free and NSU students get food at no cost on "Feed Your Face Friday," hosted by NSU Athletics.

UALR (4-0) has scored 17 goals this season with only one allowed.  The Trojans defeated Southland Conference member Nicholls, 3-1.  Northwestern State is 1-3 season, and looks to end a three-game skid.

UALR is searching for its 150th victory as a program, and a 5-0 start would be the best in school history.

"We're excited to be back home again.  That's going to be good for us because being on the road is always a challenge," said NSU head coach George Van Linder. "Arkansas-Little Rock is undefeated, and they have two forwards up top that are pretty fast."

Quin Wilkes leads the Trojans with 11 points on four goals and three assists.  Ariel Galletti and Fali Garuba follow closely with eight points.  Galletti has four goals and Garuba has three goals and two assists.

"It will be a good opportunity for us," said Van Linder. "We'll have our hands full, it should be a good game and hopefully everything will work out for us."

Julia Ranalli continues to lead Northwestern State with seven points, and has two goals on the year.  Freshman Esdenia Gonzalez also has two goals on the year.

Four of the top five leaders for NSU in minutes are freshman.  Senior Jackie Strug leads the way and is followed by Sage Leffew, Maja Lambertsson, Gonzalez, and Payton Roney.

The two programs have matched up nine times, and each has won four games along with a tie. The Trojans won the first two meetings of the series, and Northwestern State is 3-1-1 in the Demon Soccer Complex.

Northwestern State will open another two-game road stint on Sunday when they face Baylor at 1o'clock on Betty Lou Mays Field.
