HOUSTON – Northwestern State's Polina Ivanova posted a hard-fought comeback victory over Angela Lorenzo of tournament host Houston Sunday on the final day of the Jason's Deli Collegiate Invitational.
 
Ivanova recovered from dropping the opening set, won a second-set tiebreaker and powered through the decisive pro set in a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-2 triumph.
 
Teammate Tatiana Larina finished 2-1 in singles in the three-day tournament following a 6-3, 6-2 win Sunday over Taylor LeFridge of Prairie View.
 
Ivanova/Larina were beaten 8-2 in doubles by TCU's Alexis Pereira and Palina Dubavets.
 
The SMU Blue and Red Challenge next weekend in Dallas wraps up the Lady Demons' fall schedule.
