LAKE CHARLES – Now on the back half of the five-game road swing, the Northwestern State soccer team continues with game four of the trip when it travels to McNeese State at 1 o'clock at Cowgirl Field in Southland Conference action.
Northwestern State enters the match with a 3-10-1 record overall and 0-5-1 mark in Southland Conference play. McNeese State goes into the game with a 4-8-1 overall record and 2-4-0 in league play.
Esdeina Gonzalez leads the Lady Demons with 14 points and seven goals, and has one assist on the year. She is followed by
Julia Ranalli with seven points and
Nikki Saunders and
Yanci Johnson who each have six points.
Savannah LaRicci tops McNeese State with 10 points on four goals. Sierra Sisco and Krista Steinbeiser have six and five points, respectively. The Cowgirls have conference wins over Nicholls, who NSU faces on Friday, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
McNeese State is 4-2-1 at home, and Northwestern State is 1-7-0 on the road.
The Nicholls' game is final road game of the regular season for the Lady Demons, who wrap up the regular season Southeastern Louisiana, Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
