Tulsa, Okla. – Tulsa built a big lead and kept Northwestern State at bay Sunday while posting a 5-1 women's college soccer victory over the visiting Lady Demons.

Yanci Johnson scored the lone goal for NSU (1-3) from 35 yards out at the 75 minute mark. Tulsa improves to 4-1
Rebecca Handley, Lindsey Kirch, Lauren King and Stephanie Aitken gave the Golden Hurricanes a 4-0 lead at halftime.
Tulsa scored their final goal just 15 minutes into the second half as Emily Hahn found the back of the net with a header.
Freshman goalkeeper
Brooke Bourbonais made 15 saves in net for the Lady Demons.
“This was a difficult weekend for us,' said head coach
George Van Linder. “We learned a lot, but we don't need to lose to learn, and we will be better because of this.”
The Lady Demons return home to host Houston Baptist on Friday. Game time is slated for 7 o'clock.
