NATCHITOCHES – Thursday's Northwestern State softball home opener against Jackson has been postponed due to poor field conditions because of the recent rain and will be rescheduled at a later date. 
 
The Lady Demons (2-3) will travel to Lafayette to play in the ULL Mardi Gras Invitational opening up with Louisiana Tech tomorrow at 1:30 in the afternoon.
 
The Lady Demons are coming off a tournament in Monroe in which they beat Grambling and Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis.
 
NSU is scheduled to return home March 3, when the host the Lady Demon Invitational.
