Lady Demons travel to Tulsa

TULSA – Stacey DiFrancesco and Keelie Arneson lead the Northwestern State volleyball team as it travels to Tulsa University to compete in a one-day tournament on Friday.
 
The Lady Demons (20-11 overall, 12-7 Southland Conference) are coming off a tough 3-2 loss against Stephen F. Austin last Friday in the SLC Tournament.
 
NSU will compete against No. 54 Tulsa at 10:30 a.m. and North Dakota at 2:30 p.m.
 
DiFrancesco is an all-around threat for NSU, having recorded 358 kills, 293 digs and 40 aces.
 
Emily Sweet leads the offensive attack for the Lady Demons with 1,155 assists.
 
Arneson controls the defensive efforts for NSU, collecting 575 digs and 41 aces.
 
Tulsa (24-9 overall, 14-2 Conference USA) enters the weekend on a five-match winning streak. The Golden Hurricanes won the Conference USA title last weekend after taking down three opponents in straight sets.
 
Tyler Henderson sets the pace for TU offensively, landing 600 digs. Henderson leads the nation in average kills at 5.17 per set.
 
Senior libero Jessica Adams leads the Golden Hurricane's defense with 618 digs.
 
North Dakota State (12-17 overall, 8-8 Summit Conference) most recently fell to No. 37 Pepperdine 3-0 on Tuesday.
 
Senior outside hitter Brynn Joki leads the offense for the Bison with 381 kills.
 
NDSU's duo of Andrea Henning and Megan Lambertson set the pace defensively. Henning has registered 539 digs while Lambertson has denied 112 attacks for the Bison.
