NATCHITOCHES – After a two-week stint away from home, Northwestern State plays the first of a two game at the Lady Demon Soccer Complex beginning Sunday afternoon at 2 against Tulsa.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, NSU will honor a moment of silence before the game for those who perished in the attacks and those who continue to fight the war on terror.  In addition, all military personnel will be admitted free of charge to the contest.

This is the fifth year the Lady Demons and Golden Hurricane have squared off against each other with NSU leading the all-time series 3-1.

In its last outing, Northwestern State (4-2) defeated Jackson State on Friday night by a 2-0 count.  It was the second shutout of the season for the Lady Demons.

The Lady Demons are led by senior forward Meghan Hunter who has seven points this season on two goals and one assist.  Seven points is one short of the team lead for all of last season.

Sophomore Yanci Johnson has played an important role this season and has been one of the prime performers of the past three games scoring two goals and helping with one assist.

Starting in goal every game is sophomore Jessica Danku who has accumulated 28 saves in the early campaign and has allowed five goals.

The Lady Demons will continue their home stretch on Friday when they host Southern Mississippi at 7.
