James Hulbin and
O.J. Evans, a junior who had a career high. Newcomer Gary Roberson added 11, nine in the first half.
LeTourneau, a Division III team, picked up 13 points by Deitrich Williams and 10 apiece from Paul All and Jake Kennedy. The game counted as an exhibition for the YellowJackets, who were outrebounded 48-39 and held to just 31 percent shooting aim.
Mosley, a 6-7 center, made 4 of 6 shots from the floor and sank 7 of 13 free throws, well above the 37 percent rate from the line he endured last season.
The Demons never trailed and led by as many as 31 points five minutes after halftime. A Roberson 3-pointer put NSU ahead by 10, 16-6 with 12:21 showing in the opening half, amid a 21-2 run over seven minutes that blew the game open, 28-6.
Northwestern used 13 players, 11 who got in at least 10 minutes. Nobody played more than Mosley's 24 minutes.
NSU committed 20 turnovers, 12 in a sloppy second half. NSU was only 55 percent on 49 free throws, and hit just 4 of 21 on 3-pointers, while posting 44 percent overall aim.
The Demons step into action again Sunday on the road, visiting 2011 NCAA Tournament entrant Arkansas-Little Rock in a 2 o'clock contest.
