Ty Moore enters his second year with the NSU softball team and first as its graduate assistant. He served in a volunteer role with the coaching staff during the 2025 season.

Moore played two season on the NSU football team, leading the team in receiving yards and touchdowns during his final year in 2025. He scored two touchdowns, one receiving and one on special teams, in NSU’s 20-10 win against Alcorn State to open the 2025 season.

He is the son of two former NSU athlete, N-Club Hall of Fame track athlete Janice Miller Moore, who won the 1992 Southland Conference outdoor high jump title, and Glenn Moore, a football player turned softball coach. Glenn has coached college softball for 30 years with more than 1,000 career wins, the vast majority of which have come with Baylor.

Ty will assist the coaching staff in organizing and implementing practice drills, working closely with the student-athletes to reinforce fundamentals. In addition to his practice and on-field responsibilities, Moore contributes to scouting and game preparation and working alongside the staff to ensure players are prepared mentally and physically for competition.

He is pursuing his master’s degree in health and human performance at NSU.
