Champaigne is a lab that was born in a small town of Memphis, Mississippi. She has been with Demon head coach Ben Kaszeta for nine years. She came to Coach Kaszeta while working in Lafayette and was a joy from the beginning so he started taking her to visit people. He registered her with a group called Pet Partners of Acadiana. He would take her to visit sick kids in the hospital or to play with kids at the elementary schools. However, when COVID-19 struck the country, things changed and the rules changed making the trips to the hospitals not allowed. Since then, she can be spotted all over Coach Kaszeta's volleyball practices and even at some games as one of the most popular fans in the history of the program.
