One of the best pole vaulters in Northwestern State history, Madison Brown is back with the program in her first season as a graduate assistant.

She mostly helps out head coach Mike Heimerman with the operations and administrative duties.

During her NSU career, she won the gold twice at the Southland Conference Championships and found the podium on two other occasions.

In her last outdoor season in 2024, Brown earned a trip to the NCAA East First Round, finishing 33rd.

Her personal best outdoor clearance of 13-4.25 is seventh best in program history. Among individual pole vault performers, only two have done better.

A native of Natchitoches, Brown is working toward a master’s in health and human performance.
