Junior Charles is back as a volunteer assistant for the Northwestern State track and field team after a successful career on the track for the Demons.
Charles helps out Adam Pennington mostly with the sprinters.
He competed for NSU from 2020-22, where he earned a bronze medal in the javelin at the Southland Conference Championships as a senior in 2022.
Also in 2022, he collected an LSWA All-Louisiana Indoor Track & Field Team selection in the 4x100 relay.
He clocked a 48.20 in the SLC Championship semifinals to earn a spot in the finals, where he earned a 48.73 in the finals to place seventh overall.
Charles ran as a ran as a member of the 4x100 relay twice, both event wins at NSU (39.52) and Texas State (39.60).
He was also earned a spot on the 2021 Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
