SLC Track & Field Athlete of the Week (3/14/2012)
2015 Outdoor Season: Place in the top-three in six different meets, of which two were first place finishes at La Tech’s Jim Mize Invitational with a 149-06 throw and SLC Outdoor Championships with a 154-03 throw… her season best performance was at the NCAA East Regional with a 158-00 throw where she qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships… ended the season ranked 2nd in the Southland Conference behind teammate Jessica Talley, and 48th in the nation in the women’s javelin throw.
2014 Outdoor Season: Placed in the top-ten at three different meets throwing the javelin, with her best performance of the year at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational receiving third place with a throw of 144.05… she also placed 3rd at the Southeastern Lion Invitational in the javelin with a throw of 136-03… at the SLC Outdoor Championships she finished eighth place in the javelin with a throw of 137-02.
2013 Outdoor Season: Redshirted.
2012 Outdoor Season: Recorded five first place finishes in the javelin, including her victory at the SLC Championships with a throw of 151-08… threw a personal-best mark of 166-00, which ranked 14th in the NCAA, at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational… placed seventh at the prestigious Drake Relays with a throw of 156-07… finished 16th at the NCAA East Preliminaries (142-9).
High School: One of the nation’s top high school javelin throwers... placed first at the Class A state meet in the javelin with a throw of 149-3... competed at the USATF Junior Olympics and won that meet with a 140-08 mark... as a junior, placed second at the USATF World Youth Trials with a 152-04 and won the USATF Junior Olympics with a 148-06 two months after winning the state title... her 158-05 mark at the Louisiana Governor’s Games ranked as the No. 2 throw in the nation... as a sophomore, won the state title with a 156-0 throw which ranked as the seventh longest in the country... won her first state title her freshman year with a 135-04.
Personal: She has a son, Tate, born November 2013... daughter of Corwyn and Missy Aldredge... has one sister, Katie… has one brother, Justin, was an all-american tight end at NSU and graduated in 2011… father was an all-american tight end at Mississippi State in college and Tampa Bay in the NFL and was a nationally-ranked junior in the javelin throw and now owns restaurants in Natchitoches… mother is a professor at NSU ... grandfather was an all-american defensive end that was named a member of NSU’s Top 100 players of the century list in 2007… born April 27, 1992 … graduated with a bachelor’s degree from NSU in December 2014… attending graduate school for sports administration.
