Brandon Dickman

Brandon Dickman is in his second year as part of the Northwestern State strength and conditioning staff, having been promoted to assistant strength and conditioning coach in spring 2023. 

In his first year on staff, Dickman helped direct the Demon strength and conditioning department through a transitional process as NSU searched for a new director of strength and conditioning.

Dickman works closely with the Demon football team and is the primary strength and conditioning coach for the NSU baseball, softball and tennis teams.

A wrestler at Newberry College, Dickman earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Newberry in May 2022.

During his undergraduate career, Dickman interned with the UMass football program in 2021, serving as the head football sports performance intern. With the Minutemen, Dickman assisted with the implementation of the sports performance program, collected and analyzed student-athlete data to track their neurological progress and developed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for various sports.

Dickman interned in the strength and conditioning department at Newberry in 2019-20, working with the football team. He was a strength and conditioning intern with Louisiana Tech in the summer of 2020 and with the University of Oregon in the summer of 2019.

A member of the Kappa Alpha Order, Dickman is first aid/CPR certified and is Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Specialist certified. He also earned a certification from Driveline Baseball in the summer of 2023.
