Anna Braxton

Anna Braxton (MS, LAT, ATC, RDN) joined the Northwestern State athletic training staff in January of 2025. She works primarily with the women’s tennis team and soccer.

She holds a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training from Southern Miss and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Northwestern State.

Braxton has worked extensively with collegiate and high school athletes, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and sideline coverage for multiple sports, including soccer, baseball, softball, football and basketball. Before coming to Natchitoches, she served as an assistant athletic trainer at Louisiana Christian and as a student athletic trainer at several institutions, where she developed expertise in injury evaluation, therapeutic interventions, and return-to-play protocols.

Prior to her time at LCU, she was a student athletic trainer at Southern Miss, where she treated the baseball team, Hattiesburg HS, where she helped their athletic program by providing treatment and rehabilitation services for student-athletes and Jones Community College, where she treated football players, men’s and women’s soccer teams, and basketball teams.

She is certified as an athletic trainer and licensed in Louisiana, Anna is also an American Red Cross BLS provider and instructor.
