Aaron Ferguson from McKinney, Texas, joined the Sports Information team at NSU in the fall of 2020 as a first year graduate assistant, and is NSU's primary media contact for soccer and tennis. He also serves in a secondary capacity for football, men's/women's basketball, and volleyball.
Prior to 2020: Before arriving in Natchitoches, Aaron was lead editor and project developer for an online publication in East Texas and was staff writer for a local sports blog covering the Dallas Cowboys, where his content received regular bylines from Bleacher Report.
In 2018, Aaron was lead intern for the Athletics’ Marketing and Business department at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he led marketing operations for women’s volleyball and soccer; Aaron also played a large role in developing and executing marketing plans for football and both men’s and women’s basketball. Aaron found his calling in the field of athletic communications after a brief period interning for the University of New Mexico during the summer of 2019.
Aaron graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2018 with a bachelor’s in international government/political science, and is continuing his education at Northwestern State, pursuing an M.S. in sports administration.
