Prior to NSU: 
• Played two seasons at Fordham University.
• appeared in 26 games, helping the Rams reach the national postseason each year, including an Atlantic 10 Tournament championship in 2019.
• in 18 games during her freshman season, Gillis averaged 1.2 points and 2.7 rebounds with 17 of her 48 total rebounds coming on the offensive glass.

• Five-year letter winner and state champion at Carolina Day School.
