Wendy Schuller enters her ninth season with the Lady Demon basketball program. She is also in her sixth year as Northwestern State's Senior Women's Administrator.

Northwestern has recorded 20-wins in five of the eight seasons Schuller has been associated with the program, including the best winning percentage in school history last season as the Lady Demons posted a 24-6 (.800) record.

Schuller career at NSU began in 1992 when she joined the Lady Demon program as a graduate assistant coach. In 1994, after completing her master's degree at NSU in sports administration, she became a full-time assistant.

Schuller served as the top assistant until 1998, when she was named Associated Head Coach. Schuller coaches the defense, works closely with post players, and is the Lady Demon recruiting coordinator.

In addition to her coaching and recruiting duties, Schuller also serves as the conditioning coordinator and as the director of the Lady Demon summer camps.

Schuller's fullcourt, attacking defense forced 19.4 turnovers per game in 1998-99, giving NSU the top turnover margin in the Southland Conference at +3.0. Northwestern was second in the league in steals (10 per game), blocked shots (three per game), and three-point field goal percentage (.277). The Lady Demons also ranked third in the field goal percentage defense (.403) and fourth in scoring defense (63.7) points per game).

Schuller, a 1992 NAIA Academic All-American, helped lead the Sunbirds to a 25-6 record and a No.14 national ranking. She led the GSAC in three-pont shooting and free throw percentage while ranking in the top ten in those categories nationally. Currently, she holds the Sunbird school record for three-point shooting as well.

Schuller earned the Sunbird Award for Athletic and Academic Excellence and Most Inspirational honors twice, while also serving as the student body business manager at Fresno Pacific. She received a bachelors degree in marketing and management.

A native of Redlands, Calif., Schuller vplayed for her father, Gary, at Redlands High School.  Schuller was a two-time All-California Interscholastic Federation selection and was MVP of San Bernadino County. She was a member of the Los Angeles Times' all-star team following her senior year.

Wendy is married to former Ohio State Buckeye Mark Schuller and has a son Rory Christopher.

When not on the court, Schuller enjoys music, playing golf, reading and spending time with her family.
