Greg Waters is in his first season as the director of basketball operations for the women’s basketball team.
He comes to Natchitoches from the University of Tennessee, where he was a video analytics volunteer for the Lady Vols basketball team during the 2023-24 season.
Among his duties, Waters developed film-based tracking categories, revealing connections between performance and outcomes. He expanded tracking categories throughout the season, introducing metrics not found in box scores.
Prior to his tenure in Knoxville, he worked as a video coordinator intern with Jacob Begin Basketball.
He performed game film analysis for clientele spanning high school, collegiate, and professional basketball levels, including first round NBA draft picks Gradey Dick and Payton Pritchard.
Waters also worked as a camp coach at the Bill Self Basketball Camp in June 2024, where he conducted offensive skill development drills for campers.
He earned his bachelor’s in entertainment management from Missouri State in 2020.
