University of Alabama Honor's College graduate Eric Tilmont joined the Northwestern State coaching staff in the fall aftger earning his bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration.
Tilmont is enrolled in the sports administration program at Northwestern State in pursuit of his master's degree.
Most recently, he worked at the Liberty Learing Foundation, a non-profit subsidiary of Liberty's Legacy. There he provided market research aimed at the product review and innovation and sourced customers for company's education tools and programming.
Before that, he spent a summer in Spain with Fit and Feel Digital Communications.  There he perpared a marketing presentation to the University of Barcelona detailing both the benefits of and how to implement an intramural program.
He also served Fit and Feel Digital as a leader in the company's social media marketing, collaborated on brainstorming for marketing campaigns and researched influential organizations in client sectors.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native wrapped himself in basketball at UA, including serving as a student manager for the women's basketball team where he served as a dailiy practice player. He was given an active role in helping the team prepare and scout for the upcoming games and assisted in all daily game preparation.
Tilmont served as the intramural basketball referee and completed the training program for official referee certification. During his third year at Alabama, he worked at the YMCA where he officiated youth basketball games for ages 5-14 and assisted in game setup.
During his time at the YMCA, he also worked at The Supply Store at Alabama. There he maintained shelf inventory of necessary and helped customers identify required textbooks.
