Trey Hollar is in his second year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with Northwestern State and enters his first season working with Demons basketball.
In his first year at Northwestern State, Hollar worked with the Southland Conference champion women’s tennis team. He has worked with the Demons football team in both of his years at NSU.
Hollar came to Natchitoches after earning his bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Valdosta State in 2013. While an undergraduate, Hollar worked with the majority of Valdosta State’s 12 varsity-level squads. Additionally, Hollar worked with a local high school’s athletic department, providing treatment and instituting rehabilitation protocol for the school’s football and softball teams.
Hollar is enrolled in the Master of Science program here at Northwestern State, pursuing a degree in Health and Human Performance.
An avid Atlanta Braves fan, Hollar graduated from Mary Persons High School in his hometown of Forsyth, Ga., where he was a four-year member of the school’s baseball team.
Hollar is the son of Richard and Jan Hollar. He has two older sisters -- Jessica and Brandi -- and a younger sister Rachael.
