Cole Cleveland

Cole Cleveland is in his first year as a graduate assistant with the Northwestern State basketball team.

A three-year baseball letterman, Cleveland graduated from Morehead State University in 2013 with a degree in marketing and communications. As a team captain, Cleveland learned about leadership and responsibility, while serving as president of the Morehead State Student Athlete Advisory Committee. In that position, Cleveland was exposed to dealing with NCAA regulations and compliance issues. During his Morehead State baseball career, Cleveland was a three-time Ohio Valley Conference All-Academic Team member. Cleveland is pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration here at Northwestern State.

For the past three summers, Cleveland ran an AAU basketball program, the Oklahoma Net, in his hometown of Oklahoma City. The team was composed of junior high and high school players from in and around the Oklahoma City area. Cleveland used his program as a Christian ministry to his players, teaching them how to use their basketball abilities to glorify God.

Cleveland and the former Natalie Tunnell were married July 15, 2014.
