Coaching Experience:  Second season at NSU working with the linebackers under the tutelage of Coach Peveto. Prior to NSU, was the defensive back coach at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, LA for the 2009 season as well as serving as assistant track and field coach. While at Brother Martin coached 2010 Vanderbilt cornerback commit Karl Butler as well as 2011 NSU Demon defensive back commit Brian Joseph. 

  
Playing Experience:  Played linebacker at LSU for Coach Peveto for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.  Was a member of the 2007 national championship football team as well as the 2008 Chick-Fil-A Bowl Championship team. Prior to LSU, played at Mississippi College for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Prior to Mississippi College, signed out of high school with the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School in 2003. Earned Academic All-SEC honors as well as Academic All-ASC Honors. 


Personal:  26 years old, married since July 2009 to Jessica Lane Pigott (formerly Griffin) of Baton Rouge. Son of (Retired Army Major) Joel Pigott and Janice Pigott. Father was a JUCO All-American at Pearl River Community College where he was inducted into the PRCC Sports Hall of Fame in 2010 and went onto play football at West Point under Coach Paul Dietzel.  Sibling is Maurice Pigott who is married to Heidi Pigott. Prepped at Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell. He’s a graduate of LSU in 2008 with a general studies degree and will finish masters degree in sports administration from NSU in December 2011.
