Adam Federle

Adam Federle has helped produce 10 all-conference players in his first six years of coaching. Last season at West Alabama, Federle coached three defensive linemen who won first or second-team All-Gulf States Conference honors. He helped the Tigers to an 8-3 regular season, and earned their fourth playoff berth in program history and only their second in the last 40 years. The eight win regular season the most UWA has seen in the past four decades. The Tiger defense ranked first in turnovers gained, second in scoring and rushing defense in the Gulf South Conference. Federle served two different stints working with the defensive line at Arkansas State under defensive coordinator Kevin Corless, a former Demon staff member during the Sam Goodwin and Steve Roberts eras. He was a graduate assistant at ASU from 2006-08, then an assistant coach with the defensive line for 2010-11. He was associated with some stout defenses with the Red Wolves:  ASU led the Sun Belt Conference in total defense in 2007, ranked second in 2006 and 2008, and was 32nd nationally in 2006.  Federle coached five All-SBC defensive linemen, including 2008 SBC Defensive Player of the Year Alex Carrington, an end who was the 72nd pick (Buffalo) in the 2009 NFL Draft.  Bryan Hall, a 2010 first-team All-SBC lineman coached by Federle, is playing for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.  In 2009-10, Federle coached defensive tackles and was recruiting coordinator at Central Arkansas. In the 2009 season, he helped UCA lead the Southland Conference in total defense, scoring defense, pass defense, rushing defense, tackles for loss, first down defense and red zone defense. One of his tackles, Taylor Scott, went on to play for Montreal in the Canadian Football League.

Playing Experience:  A three-year starter at linebacker for coach Todd Knight at Ouachita Baptist, Federle was team captain in 2004 and 2005. He was a standout at Allen (Texas) High School.
