Elizabeth Holloway

Elizabeth Holloway — known to the NSU athletic department as Ms. E — handles administrative duties for Demon Football, Baseball and Track. In the past 25 years, she has served six head football coaches , six baseball coaches and countless assistant coaches.  Ms. E has served track coach Mike Heimerman the longest — 25 years! 

Ms. E and her husband Ted settled in Natchitoches 34 years ago. For five years, she worked in the Athletic Compliance Office, then briefly worked at her husband’s jewelry store. She came back to Northwestern State in 2001. She considers her time here one of the greatest blessings in her life.

Ms. E is a great grandmother to 6th grader Leo, 6-year-old Mateo and 3 year-old Javi, her grandson Jacob Mercer’s sons. Jacob lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife Karla. Ms. E’s granddaughter Kate also lives in Birmingham. She is married to Sims Ruffino. Their daughter Elizabeth Jane celebrated her second birthday at the end of May.

Ms. E’s daughter, Amy, is married to Adam Abeyta and serves as Vice President of Communications at Birmingham Community Foundation. Ms. E’s son, Tim Bickers, lives in Natchitoches and works for Brown Security as a security specialist.

Ms. E spends a lot of time with her husband, Ted, at the Courtyard Nursing home and enjoys reading and working in her yard when she has the time. Her 13-year dog Sophie keeps her company.
