2024 SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE COMMISSIONER'S SPRING HONOR ROLL
2025 Season:
• Made 12 appearances, starting 11 games, as a sophomore.
• ranked second on the team with six wins.
• worked a career-long seven innings, taking a no-decision in a May 17 Southland Conference Tournament elimination game against New Orleans.
• tossed a then-career-long six innings, allowing one earned run, before taking a no-decision in an April 29 victory at ULM.
• worked a then-career-long 5 1-3 shutout innings in an April 15 win against LSU-Alexandria, striking out a career-best seven.
• matched his then-career high with five innings pitched, allowing two runs, in a no-decision at ULM on April 8.
• tossed four scoreless innings with a season-high four strikeouts in a March 25 win against Centenary.
• worked four scoreless innings to pick up a win against Grambling on March 11.
• grabbed a win with two shutout innings in a March 4 victory against LeTourneau.
• allowed three runs in four innings, picking up a win against Southern-New Orleans on Feb. 25.
2024 Season:
• Appeared in 10 games, starting nine, in his first college season.
• became NSU's mid-week starter and made eight of his appearances in that role.
• picked up his second win of the season against Grambling on April 23, working four innings and allowing one earned run.
• grabbed his second win of the season with four shutout innings in a 14-0 win against LSUA on April 16.
• earned his first career win with five shutout innings in an April 2 win at Grambling.
• struck out a caerer-high six in four innings in a no-decision against Louisiana Christian on March 26.
• allowed one run in five innings in his first career start against UL Lafayette on March 6.
• tossed two scoreless innings of relief in his NSU debut Feb. 28 at UL Lafayette.
High School:
• Two-year letterman for coach Greg Williams’ Yellow Jackets.
• set single-season school records for wins (10), innings pitched (77), complete games (7) and batters faced (323) as a senior, earning honorable mention all-state honors.
• named the Shreveport-Bossier Journal’s All-Metro MVP and first-team pitcher as well as first-team all-district and first-team Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association all-region as a senior.
• batted .340 with a .940 OPS, 11 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 40 RBIs as a senior.
• went 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA in 21 innings as a junior, striking out 15 and walking just four batters.
• Byrd reached the state quarterfinals in both of his seasons.
• four-year member of the Gusher yearbook staff, holding positions as the sports editor and as a photographer.
• First Priority Student Leader was a member of the Quill and Scroll National Honor Society and earned the Presidential Service Award and the 2023 JOBBA Masonic Lodge Honesty and Integrity Award.

• son of Pam and Daniel Robinson, who played baseball at Louisiana Tech and spent four years in the then-Florida Marlins organization.
• has two brothers, Christopher and Andrew, both of whom played college baseball.

• plans to enter the restaurant industry or continue playing baseball.
