A two-year member of the Northwestern State pitching staff, Jeffrey Stovall enters his first year as a graduate manager for the Demons.
Stovall transferred to Northwestern State after two years at Howard College in Big Spring, Texas. His two seasons at Northwestern State were spent mainly as a starter.
???????Stovall made 34 appearances (20 starts) across two seasons, posting a 10-8 record with a 3.82 ERA across 139 innings.
???????Stovall was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Week on March 28, 2016, after tossing a complete game in a win against Grambling. He allowed one unearned run and was the second complete game of his career. A control specialist, Stovall walked just 14 batters in his NSU career.
At Howard College, Stovall went 5-6 and posted 51 strikeouts against just 10 walks. At Irving (Texas) High School, Stovall was a three-time all-district pick and an all-state selection.
???????Stovall graduated from Northwestern State with a degree in communications in May 2016. He currently is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at Northwestern State.Â
