Three-year Northwestern State letterman Dawson Flowers is in his first season on the Demon coaching staff as his alma mater’s director of player personnel.
A right-handed pitcher who transferred to Northwestern from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Flowers appeared in 53 games for Northwestern, collecting five wins and a pair of saves as a versatile part of the Demons’ pitching staff.
A two-year letterman at Mississippi Gulf Coast, Flowers graduated summa cum laude with his undergraduate degree in biology in December 2023. A native of Brookhaven, Mississippi, he is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at Northwestern.
Flowers spent the past year coaching with the Louisiana Lightning baseball organization in Natchitoches.
He is engaged to former NSU soccer player Jayme Haynes.
