The David E. Pittman, Jr. Scholarship was established in 2018 by the former NFL Cornerback to give back to the football program who gave him his start to a professional career in a sport he loves. The scholarship is made available to bring in new and competitive talent from the River Parishes (south Louisiana) to Northwestern State University who might not have considered or could afford to attend college.

Our intent is to develop and grow this scholarship to become  a part of the "Perpetually Purple" endowment program at NSU and we need your help.  Your financial support will sponsor a deserving student-athlete to not only receive a college education but also fulfill a dream of playing college football. This scholarship is only awarded to a football student-athlete who has a 3.0 GPA or higher and exhibits genuine character and demonstrated leadership skills, both on and off the field.
